Free HTML Blog Templates

A blog template lives or dies by its reading experience: line length, type scale, and how easy it is to move from a list of posts to a single article and back. The designs here take different routes, from a typography-first Bootstrap theme with an image masthead to big immersive post cards and a sidebar-led editorial layout.

Each one includes the pages a blog actually needs, such as a post layout and an about or contact page, and works as a starting point for a static site generator like Eleventy, Hugo or Astro. Preview them live and use the blueprint to map the post list and article templates onto your stack.

FAQ

Questions about blog templates

Can I use these blog templates with a static site generator?

Yes. Split the post list and article page into layouts and partials, then feed them Markdown posts from Eleventy, Hugo, Jekyll or Astro.

Which blog template has a sidebar?

Editorial has a persistent sidebar with search and a menu. Modern Business's blog post page uses a narrow side column for the author name and post categories.

Do they include comments?

Modern Business has a comment section on its blog post page; the others don't. Add a comment system such as Giscus or a hosted service if you need one.
