Using a template gallery well

1. Check the licence first: MIT needs only the notice kept, CC BY needs a visible credit.
2. Open the live demo on a phone before you commit; many older themes break at 360px.
3. Prefer templates with a recent update and few dependencies.
4. Write down the sections you need, then pick the template that already has most of them.

Listing a template or new site

• Submit to two or three showcases that match your style, not twenty.
• Prepare a title, one-line summary, three screenshots and a live URL before you start.
• Expect most showcase links to be nofollow: the value is referral traffic and discovery.
• For followed links, work through AltFTool’s backlink directory.
