JioFiber's ₹899 plan bundles fourteen streaming subscriptions. Bought individually those cost several times the plan. This is the strongest-sounding value proposition in Indian telecom, and it is also the easiest one to overpay for.
The comparison that matters
The bundle is only worth its premium over the cheaper tier — not its full retail value. If the 30 Mbps plan is ₹399 and the 100 Mbps plan with OTT is ₹899, you are paying ₹500 a month for more speed plus the apps. Against that ₹500, count only the subscriptions you would otherwise actually pay for.
A quick test
- List the apps you opened in the last month, not the ones you intend to watch.
- Add up what those cost standalone at their cheapest tier.
- If the total beats the price gap between the two plans, take the bundle. If it does not, take the cheaper plan and subscribe to the two you use.
- Check the tier the bundle includes. A bundled Netflix is often the Mobile tier, which will not play on the television the plan is installed for.
The same test applies to mobile packs with OTT and to DTH combos. In every case the honest question is not what the bundle is worth, but what it is worth to you.
