1. Data Governance & Compliance Framework
GoldenYears Living is committed to the highest standards of data protection and regulatory compliance. Our privacy architecture aligns with major privacy frameworks including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA as amended by CPRA), Virginia CDPA, Colorado CPA, and applicable US federal privacy principles.
2. Handling of Care Inquiries & Sensitive Information
When you fill out our Community Finder or request care consultations, you may indicate general health needs (such as memory support or assistance with daily activities). We treat this information with heightened administrative, technical, and physical safeguards:
- All care questionnaires are encrypted using AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit.
- Data is never shared with general advertisers, brokers, or data resellers.
- Access is governed strictly by role-based access controls for verified staff only.
3. Exercising Your Data Rights
As a consumer, you have robust rights regarding the personal information we maintain:
- Right to Know / Access: Request a complete breakdown of personal categories and specific records collected during your sessions.
- Right to Delete: Request permanent removal of all contact details, submitted inquiries, and preferences from our active systems.
- Right to Rectify: Correct any inaccurate details regarding your contact information or care criteria.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never deny service, alter rates, or provide lower quality matching if you choose to exercise your privacy rights.
4. Notice of Right to Opt-Out (Do Not Sell/Share)
GoldenYears Living does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Under certain state definitions, sharing criteria with licensed senior living partners to fulfill your referral request may be classified as a "share."
You may submit a formal Opt-Out or Data Deletion request at any time through our community portal or privacy support desk.
5. Incident & Breach Notification Protocol
In the unlikely event of a security incident that compromises personal consumer records, GoldenYears Living maintains an incident response protocol designed to contain risks, notify affected individuals without undue delay, and coordinate promptly with relevant regulatory bodies.
