01Overview
This page explains how WorkWise protects personal data and how you can control it. It adds detail to our Privacy Policy, which describes what we collect and why.
02Our data principles
- Collect only what we need: the referral form asks for basic details only.
- Use data for the purpose it was given: reviewing your request and making a referral.
- Share only to make the referral: with independent attorneys and the service providers who help us run the website.
- No selling: we do not sell personal data, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
03Sensitive information
We do not ask for sensitive data such as passport numbers, government identification numbers, immigration case numbers, health information or financial details. Please don't include it in the referral form. If we receive it unexpectedly, we will delete it where practicable.
04Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
- Correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete personal data we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Object to, or ask us to limit, certain uses of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent, where we rely on consent.
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.
05How to make a request
To exercise a privacy right, contact WorkWise and tell us what you would like us to do. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before we act. You can also make a request through an authorized agent, where the law allows. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
06Data shared with attorneys
After we refer your request, the independent attorney who receives it holds their own copy of your information. Requests about that copy should be made to the attorney directly. On request, we can tell you which attorney received your referral.
07Data retention
We keep referral request information only as long as reasonably necessary to process your request, keep appropriate records and meet legal obligations. After that, we delete or de-identify it.
08Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09International data transfers
The service providers that host this website and deliver its content may process data in the United States or other countries. Where we transfer personal data, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected as described on this page.
10Changes to this page
We may update this Data Privacy page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
