Five-Minute Pitch Off
Creative Challenge

The Five-Minute Pitch Off is an exercise in quick thinking, creativity, and presentation skills. By forcing teams to pitch ridiculous concepts with almost no prep time, it removes the pressure of perfection. The focus is entirely on humor and delivery. It's an excellent way to build confidence in public speaking and shows how the team handles being put on the spot.

How to run it

  1. 1.Divide the group into teams of 3-4.
  2. 2.Hand each team a random, silly product or service idea.
  3. 3.Start a 5-minute timer for them to outline a sales pitch.
  4. 4.Each team gets 60 seconds to present their pitch to the group.
  5. 5.After all pitches, host a quick vote to see which product the team would actually 'buy'.

Pro Tips

  • Provide completely absurd prompts (e.g., 'A subscription box for rocks' or 'Bluetooth water').
  • Encourage the use of impromptu props found around the office.
  • Have the audience vote for the winner by cheering.
