Team Bingo
Icebreaker

Team Bingo is an interactive icebreaker that gets people out of their seats and mingling. It's particularly effective for large groups or onboarding events where many people don't know each other. The game acts as a social catalyst, giving everyone a reason to approach someone new and ask a question. It highlights shared experiences and hidden talents, making the team feel more connected.

How to run it

  1. 1.Create and print bingo cards filled with statements (e.g., 'Has a pet dog', 'Speaks 3 languages').
  2. 2.Hand out the cards and pens to all participants.
  3. 3.Tell them they must find someone who matches the statement and have them sign the square.
  4. 4.The first person to get 5 in a row (or fill the card) shouts 'BINGO!'.
  5. 5.Review the winning card by having the signer verify their fun fact.

Pro Tips

  • Customize the bingo squares with fun facts specific to your team.
  • Encourage people to talk for a minute rather than just signing the card and running.
  • Have a small prize for the first 3 people to get a bingo.

A people-bingo board that gets everyone mingling to fill their card first — works beautifully at new-hire onboarding.
