- Self-Reported Credit Tier: Approximate credit range (e.g. Excellent, Good, Fair, Building) used strictly for preliminary APR matching.
- Telemetry & Usage: Anonymized browser diagnostics, timestamp headers, and feature interaction metrics to optimize comparison visualizer speed.
How We Use Inquiry Data
Your financial parameters are processed exclusively to compute mathematical estimates, calculate potential monthly vehicle payments, and present eligible fixed-rate auto loan offers:
- To calculate estimated monthly amortization, APR ranges, and total repayment schedules.
- To route pre-approved estimates to relevant lending partners only when you explicitly request pre-approval offers.
- To maintain regulatory audit logs and verify consent integrity.
Soft Inquiries & Credit Protection
Checking personalized rates and exploring auto financing options through AltFTool uses soft credit inquiries. Soft inquiries are visible only to you on your credit report and have zero impact on your credit score.
If you choose to accept an offer and complete a formal application directly with a chosen lender, that lender will conduct a standard hard credit inquiry with your explicit authorization.

When you submit your email for a personalized rate sheet or follow-up summary:
