Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The shortest door into bedside care. Required training hours are set by your state — commonly somewhere in the 75-to-180-hour range, and every state runs its own competency evaluation. Plenty of people work CNA hours as a paid on-ramp while they finish LPN or ADN prerequisites.
Fits if: you want to be working in patient care within a few months.
